W. WILKINSON Obituary
W. Lawrence Wilkinson
Age 80 of Landenberg, PA died Thursday, November 10, 2005, at the Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE.
He was the husband of Pauline Lamborn Wilkinson who died in 1987 and with whom he shared 39 years of marriage. Born in West Grove, he was a son of the late Walter L. Wilkinson and Beatrice Hocking Wilkinson. In his early life he was a farmer. In 1960 he went to work for John A. Connell as a parts manager. He continued in that capacity for the next 20 years. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed getting together with his family and friends, and in later years spent a lot of his time with his brother and best friend, Leon. He was truly a gentleman and he enjoyed his life to the end. He was a member of the IACL of Kennett Square and the FOP for many years.
Survivors include daughters, Patricia Springer and her husband, Thomas, Kitty Petrucci and her husband, Ronald, and Lynne Hughes and her husband, David; son, John Wilkinson and his wife, Marlene, all of Landenberg; brother, Leon H. Wilkinson of Landenberg; grandchildren, Dawn Hudson, Eric Petrucci, Lori Kuffel, Aaron Springer, Clint Hughes, Andrea Hughes and John Wilkinson, Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Brody, Shane, Angela and Ethan Hudson and Andrew Kuffel.
A funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday, November 15, 2005, at the Kuzo & Gofus Funeral Home, 250 West State St. Kennett Square, PA 19348. Friends and family may call from 9-11 am before the service. Interment will be in Union Hill Cemetery.
